    We toss out a few things for the birds and squirrels, like cereal crumbs or chips, but never a casserole. We don’t worry about other animals. Out cat takes care of any rats and possums or raccoons either don’t come by or don’t bother us.

    Had a friend who couldn’t get a raccoon to quit tearing into his garbage. He ended up feeding it and the result was the tamest raccoon I’d ever seen. It was pretty darn cute.

    When I moved to MN I discovered that here they call it “hot dish”. I guess they couldn’t figure out how to spell “casserole”.
