Petey is right this time. Alice is stuck in silly pre-school antics, not in the Halloween Otherworld of the dead coming back, like toad zombies.

why does it have to be scary…

Pencils the world over will be terrified.

She’s doing fine.

Almost as clever as Adam Sandler’s crazy-spoon-head man

Looks a bit like an owl.

That costume should be easy for her mom to make, no sewing machine required. Just a yellow sheet, pipe cleaners for the whiskers, buttons for the eyes. She’ll be the cutest human / cat pencil sharpener ever.

A crayon sharpener? It poops rainbows!!!!!!! :)

Knowing her from reading this strip… she’s pretty scary with NO costume.

Didn’t Petey wear a box on his head last Halloween?

Alice, it would be scarier if you had a clown on your head, like Dill did the other day.

Just walk about with the jack-in-the-box. Your trick can be having a clown pounce from the sky onto reluctant candy-givers.

Alice’s expression when they pull it off of her head with the tape gripping her hair will be really scary.

Petey is archly diplomatic. But he is exactly correct. Alice just doesn’t grasp the concept as yet.

On the other hand, even without the crayon sharpener, Alice looks scary!
