As C. S. Lewis observed, the door to Hell is locked from the inside. The inmates would like to leave Hell, but only if they could bring it with them.

Life, heaven and hell are full of paradoxes. Ironically, regaining hope is the only way to escape hell, so before exiting you have already regained it.

Technical point: It’s “all/every hope,” not “all ye.”

Oh, you can have all the hope you want. It won’t matter, but you can have hope.
