Pay less – commercials!! Pay more – “PAUSE” button!!! Decisions!!! Decisions!!!

Just put the TV in the bathroom. That’s where you do all your streaming…

I don’t stream TV, but if I did, a pause button and commercial-free viewing works for me.

Your remote has a “Pause” button, Brute. Handy for those unexpected interruptions.

wait, you mean you can’t pause your shows!? Man you are missing out on something grand.

and lets not forget the rewind and fast forward buttons. they’re quite useful especially in my house hold of chaos.

Then you miss out on all those political ads, and the ones about bloating, diarrhea, limp noodle…. oh, wait…. never mind.

I can show my husband how to watch something recorded, but with dementia he doesn’t remember how to fast forward.

We prefer not to watch “live” TV so we can fast forward through the commercials, pausing the show for whatever reason if needed. On one particular channel, the commercial interruptions are long enough, I can get a lot of stuff done before the show resumes.

I watch a lot of utube but unfortunately there is a lot of adds. Although there is a skip button usually after 5-10 seconds or so. But, sometimes, the ads are more interesting than the utube programs.

Only Brutus Thornapple would want the commercial laden version for his necessity run time. But then only Brutus Thornapple would not understand that he can pause streamed entertainment.

Maybe there’s a Born Loser Package for people (or THE person) who’d pay extra for commercials. Just don’t tell him about the pause button! Gladys’ look in the last frame is priceless. Bemusement, patience, “should I tell him?”, and “I don’t know why I love him but I do!”

On the free streaming services, the ad breaks are always shorter when you try to go to the john…

I find some commercials to be highly offensive and I do not know how the drug companies managed to get their products into commercials. There is an insurance commercial with a guy pulling up his beard and smelling it because he likes the smell after he eats. I have to close my eyes for that one. It’s disgusting to me. At least we got rid of the cigarette commercials. There are many I would not want to watch with a date early in a relationship.

Another thing about modern commercials that drives me batty—there are some that are shown every commercial break. Anyone else notice that?
