When I worked retail, I would make comments like that too. You have to pick the customers to whom you make the comments wisely…

She could just say, “because everyone else likes that brand too”, (but it wouldn’t be as funny).

It’s too popular. It sells so fast, that they can’t keep the shelves stocked, so they stopped ordering it.

My late loving wife and I used to buy our favorite products like most people AND the Companies would stop making them. So we would find something new AND they would stop making that as well. And all of this was before the issues Covid caused.

OR….they change the ingredients….and of course shrinkflation.

So true, either they stop making it: goodbye my beloved “Blood Orange Diet Coke”! or they never have it in stock: anyone seen a bag of mini Dark Chocolate MilkyWay Midnight bars lately?
