And Putin’s strategy has never changed: NATO and the rest of the world aren’t going to risk an all out war with Russia over Ukraine. He’s correct in that assumption until proven otherwise. Economic sanctions aren’t the answer.
They decided to go into the watermelon business. So they bought a truck, drove it down to Alabama and loaded it with watermelons, at 50 cents each. They drove back to (you name the state) and sold them for 50 cents each. After a few trips, one remarked that they weren’t making any money. His partner replied, “Yeah, I noticed that, too. Whada ya’ reckon we orter do?” “Well,” the other offered, “I thank we orter git us a bigger truck.”
This is what happens when crazy people start to believe their own propaganda. Like, for example: “We have a great, unstoppable Military”. Or: “Many People, good people have told me we actually won the election!”
Putin needs to pack up his toys and what’s left of his toy soldiers and go to the retirement home for insane dictators. His best bet at his next lie is to lose his next election and blame that guy for everything he’s done the last several years.
One inch into NATO with aggression, Article 5 Treaty obligates us to repel that invasion. Hitler got away with it as long as he did because we let him.

The game isn’t going his way, he should just pick up his dominos and go home. That will show those ungrateful Ukrainians.

Reminds me of the joke about the two rubes:
