That’s an old World War II song which Andy will remember if he’s still meant to be a World War II veteran as Reg Smythe was. Some of you may ask “Are there any new World War II songs?” There may be as people are still fictionalising World War I and World War II but The Quartermaster’s Store is an authentic World War II song.

I notice that someone stated yesterday that Andy reminds him of his “old drunk of a father”. Andy was largely based on Reg Smythe’s father. Flo is based on Reg’s mother and was even named after her.

He must not know Andy otherwise he’d have never said that.
