It took me a little while, but I finally figured out why this attachment looks all wrong. Stanley is a mutant! A real remora attaches with its dorsal fin, which functions like a suction cup. That’s located on the top of the remora’s head. Remoras generally attach to the shark’s belly where they can snag scraps that fall their way.
