So many people that are so clueless about tofu. Tofu is mild in taste, and it will take on introduced flavors extremely well. It is great when marinaded or fried.
I don’t know about a “tofu burger”, but there are several really good fake-meat burgers sold today. They don’t taste much like beef, but they are still yummy.
She’s never shown any interest in eating healthy before, so I’m going with “she’s saving the good stuff for herself.” The buzzard (whose name GoComics won’t let us use) is usually the one to talk up good nutrition—which is odd since buzzards are known for dining on carrion.
Tofu has very little flavor or texture but can be good with enough strongly flavored sauce for it to absorb. I prefer tempeh, which has better texture and more fiber and is a probiotic. (I add it to salads as a protein source during the summer.) But tempeh is a lot harder to find unless there’s a Trader Joe’s in your area.

It’s not so bad, there some grease on them from the beef burger she fixed for herself, with bacon and cheese.

I refuse to accept that tofu can be burger-ized! That’s an ABOMINATION to grills everywhere!

Except maybe in the Orient, serving tofu will usually get rid of your overstaying guests!
