I read that when WLS first started broadcasting, that was before FCC regulations, they put out so much power, some people could hear the radio when they opened their ovens.

I think the Gilligan’s Island plot has a real source. Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz owned Desilu and produced Gilligan’s Island.
