If Farley isn’t used to human leftover foods, he’s going to hork all that back up. My dog is used to getting human food, so her system is good with it. She’s a smaller dog, so I have to keep the total amount of food down. Try and explain to a beagle that they have had enough food, but when I look down at her, she has a nice waistline and no ribs poking out – ideal shape. No fluffy fur, so her actual size is obvious.
It may not be a popular opinion, but I’m going to say that nobody but the dog’s owners have the right to feed a dog. A tiny bit of meat or something might be excusable, but feeding him enough to need a bowl is inexcusable to me. And I agree with those above who say that Farley could throw it up, and if he does, Dear old helpful Dad should reach for the cleaning spray and rags. Alas for me, though – good sense doesn’t make for good comics, lol.

As a rare treat and not a daily thing? Spoil him/her. Turkey scraps are OK. No stuffing with things like onion in it.

Dogs, particularly big dog, are such dainty eaters.

I’m sure the dog doesn’t mind. That’s not quite the point.

Grandpa’s jealous of the dog’s teeth. How many people actually look in their dog’s mouth to see if any teeth are missing?
