    So is that (1 gazillion/pi) x 1 skadlillion, or 1 gazillion/(pi x 1 skadillion)? Where’s Phonetic Punctuation when you need it?

    (The digits are the same either way, but the difference is the slide rule’s biggest challenge – getting the decimal point in the right place.)

    OK, so it was a bit of a snarky thing for Betty to do, but if she gave a normal math problem, there wouldn’t be anything funny. Besides, many of our inner 5 year olds would want to do this, just our grown up selves wouldn’t say it outloud.

    I don’t blame him for being miffed, but in my day, “idiotic” would have been a strong word to use to your mother in that context.

    I just read back what I wrote, and realized how old it makes me sound (and feel).
