You think that’s bad? I once spent a week and a half driving across Kansas one day.

So take the rest of the week off.

Only four days, seven hours and fifty-nine minutes to go!

Mondays have always had that feel of being the longest day.

Ugh! I remember those days when I use to work. Mondays were always so hard to go through.

and it is getting slower…

Yeah that’s working 9 to 5! But think this over, today is only Monday! The week always seems stretched out twice as long on a Monday!

Did you have a hard day’s night Brutus?

it felt like that often lately… even mom complains like that almost all year.

What a long, strange week it’s been.

Some hours seem like that!

Poor Brutus, it doesn’t augur well for the rest of the week if Monday is already a week long.

I know that feeling. Whenever l went away on vacation, l left my desk clean and all work caught up. When l got back, my desk looked like it had every file in the office on it. That l hated. Made me regret going on vacation and maybe that was the plan all along, for both of us…..

Well, Brutus, the work week isn’t going to get any better by just staring at your work load. Get to it.

Good ole Brutus Thornapple, in his world every day is a Monday, some days are just more Monday than others.

The week would go faster if he actually did some work

He’s lucky he has time to look at it. I never did. We were always trying to catch up. There was always a 2- or 3- year lag in staffing, and casework was always rising.

Just think, only eleven more days until the weekend!

Well, stop dwadling Brutus, all those tea cozies won’t be going out to all those anxious customers on their own.

Wait a minute, that box was empty when you left on Friday, must have been the weekend gremlins.

It’s so satisfying seeing this, since I retired.

On the other hand, nowhere to go but up! Time for a coffee break.

back when i was a company drone the hours would stretch forever when i was sitting at my desk and then magically shrink from the minute i got off work…

To quote the title of a collection of Peanuts comic strips, “The World Is Full of Mondays.”

Seriously, I brought up the TV listings this afternoon, and wondered why it was stuck on Monday……and I’m retired ! It does help that it has looked like twilight, for the last four days.
