Ugh. I didn’t think anyone ran after the meal. Me, I’m headed to the local early morning Turkey Trot. Move your feet before you eat! I don’t care that I’m not one of the fastest.
You’ve got to have a good strategy! Back when I ran, I was never among the fastest, but I loved the run. A friend and I hatched a plan, and found a day when there were SEVERAL very popular races available, and picked out the two LEAST likely to attract the runners. Then we decided on which to meet at. Then I went to the other one, because my friend was a faster runner than me. That day I was the winner of my age bracket and fifth overall in the race, beating out all of those high school track punks that never did anything but short sprints! It was lovely! I got a nice certificate and everything!

If one is eating and running, does that mean one is not smiling and hugging? Those are the best parts of the feast.
My sweet blue-eyed girl and I wish the best Thanksgiving ever to each of you and your family and friends. And don’t forget the hugs.

Frazz, you LOVE discomfort. It’s a good thing, because you’re awkward af.

His comment is mostly innocuous, but it points to the fact that humans (myself included) are quite prone to playing the comparison game.

I’m not running today, which gives me one more thing to be thankful for.

Is there a doctor in the house (for a check of my opinion)?
I don’t think any amount of same-day exercise will take the calories from the big meal away.
