Nice that Jarvis got some time to sit home and drink tea while the little brat was out alienating people.

I like Monty on Sundays. It’s always a full Monty.

So, over all 12 days of Christmas, at 1 partridge per day, you get 12 partridges. Over the last 11 days, at 2 turtle doves per day, you get 22 turtle doves. Over the last 10 days, at 3 French hen per day, you get 30 French hens. Carry this on for the full 12 days, and you’ve got 364 total things, and you’ll probably have to sell off a couple of those gold rings to pay for someone to come in and clean up all the manure.

I can’t help feeling sympathy for a fellow pedant, be he ever so obnoxious. Perhaps we shouldn’t mention to him that the French word for ‘partridge’ is ‘perdrix’, pronounced — with a US accent — ‘pear tree’.

It’s tough being the Cliff Clavin in the room.

Interesting trivia, none the less.

Maybe Sedgewick should have held his comment until after the song was finished.

I’m surprised Sedgewick held out that long before correcting the rest of the choir.
