“What Time Is It? You Mean Now?” is a famous Yogi-ism. Those were simple comments that, despite their simplicity, Yogi Berra managed to mangle in often hilarious ways. He even used this one, a variation of which we see in today’s strip, as the title of one of his books. While some of them were actual accidental cases of Yogi tripping over his own tongue, apparently a fair number of them were intentionally deployed once sports journalists began to call attention to them. Since Leo is a Friar, I assume he prays the Liturgy of the Hours and the Daily Mass readings, which means he reads quite a bit of the Bible every day.
