Cats don’t need to get paid to do that. They are naturally destructive.

I remember the first year when the kids were little and we had our first puppy. We put the tree up that year and we’re worried over what the dog’s reaction to it would be and stability issues.

The dog was fine; but loved to sleep under it. It was my son that pulled the tree over.

Do they still make ornaments out of fairy glass?

After the 2nd time the cats tipped over the real tree after we got them, I added removable hooks in the wall by tree so I could tie it up. They still climbed the tree, but at least didn’t tip it over. We did have a dog that would eat ornaments, so no ornaments down low for many years.

I’ve checked the price of Christmas Trees. It’s a tradition that will go away.

It might come back when we can holographically project them.

We have cats and a long tradition of taking pictures of them in the Christmas tree. We set the tree up and leave it overnight so they can ‘explore’ and then we decorate. We make sure the low-hanging ornaments are fairly durable (because the dog sometimes knocks them off) and that all ornaments are well-attached. Presents don’t go under the tree until Christmas Eve so the cats enjoy napping on the skirt. And by Christmas Eve the cats have found something else to explore. I can’t say the cats have never broken an ornament, but they have broken far fewer than the people and dogs in the family.

A plot contrived by the Deep Ornament Conspiracy. At least that’s what THEY want you to think. Oh, and buy a hat and t-shirt instead of voting.

Don’t feel bad for the human, she enjoys shopping for new ornaments.

Hard to tell what is going on. Is the cat getting paid by the worker to break bulbs so that she will have to buy more? If so, it looks like she just found out. Should the worker wait till after she finds out and called to buy more?

Or is the cat paying him to deliver more so that he can break more?
