OT but a very short paragraph in todays(12/28) Tulsa world to the effect that one of the new Denver Broncos co-owners-one of the Walmart heirs husband-Greg Plummer-the new CEO-is leading the search for a new head coach, who will report directly to him rather than Bronco’s GM George Paton. The comic possibilities of this announcement are endless. First spending the most ever for a sports franchise-$4.8 Billion-now bypassing the GM by saying the next head coach will report directly to him. Shades of Jerry Jones. Will Plummer be making the draft choices, like Jerry Jones? Will the Bronco’s ever be the AFC champions again?
Yet, the media and the slobbering fans continue to give the NFL cabal a continual pass. It might be the most morally bankrupt league in existence. Between PED/Steroid abuse, domestic violence, arrogant, spineless, owners, it’s baffling what’s the worst. Nothing will really ever happen until the sponsors, who play a big part in this, yank the money off the table. They won’t.
It passes all understanding, you’d think a good-looking, super-fit guy could have all the nookie in the world for the asking even without being a sports hero (of sorts). What drives them to mess up all the time? They’re hardly some kind of ‘incel’, like our last president.
