We had a son who did this. We told him to just eat peanut butter sandwiches. He did. Breakfast, lunch and dinner…for two weeks. 32 years later, he no longer wants anything with peanuts in it anymore. He can’t even smell peanuts without gagging.
Bread and Jam for Francis. Seriously though, Abbie is a therapist who can’t get her kid to appreciate that food prep takes time and energy. Get her to cook the meals and she’ll appreciate it more.
Sheesh….some less than stellar parenting there. No matter what I cooked, my son (as a young child and a teenager) had to try a little of everything, even just 2 bites. If he didn’t like it, then he could make his own meal. Most of the time, the food or meal that he said, “Ick! I’m not eating that !” was the exact food or meal he liked the most.

back in the day, if i didn’t eat what mom prepared for supper, I didn’t eat. Mom cooked to please my father and herself. We learned to like it.

I wouldn’t have given her the Peanut Butter option. But then I wouldn’t have given her the Pizza option either.

Oh? What’s that? You’re saying you’re not actually hungry? Okay, no dinner for you, then!

Seems old enough to be making her own frozen pizza, frankly. If she is going to be that picky, then mom needs to be in semi-retirement from cooking.

Time for her to start learning to cook.

Certainly time for somebody to learn how to make her own sandwich.
