As kathybear mentions above, we once had a school cafeteria lunch that grossed me out, and I made comments about it later (though not as dramatically as Lio here, lol). I hadn’t though of the fact that one of the cooks was the mother of one of the friends I was complaining to . It really hurt her feelings. (And the meals usually were pretty good. And her mother was a very sweet lady). I resolved after that to pay attention to what I was saying in front of other people. (I hope I’ve kept that resolution fairly well, lol).
