    The best diet, environmentally speaking, is based on local foodstuffs that don’t have to be packaged, processed, transported, etc. And cutting out meats (ovine) would be more beneficial (again, environmentally) than cutting out poultry and fish.

    Things that help the planet is a slanted sounding assignment. It may not be, but some ideas probably will be disallowed. And veganism doesn’t necessarily help the planet.

    nature itself has meat eating apex predators. So going vegan isn’t necessarily natural. Having better farming practices will help

    I do not understand her. Okay, she wants to try a new way of eating and drags the family along. Perfectly fair, and it’s only a month. But why on earth give the kiddo extra grief for just wanting to boast to the other 10-year-olds at school that it was his idea?
