There are a lot of carts out there in the wild needing to be herded.

Dill’s Bros are cart herders.

I did a quick check going back some 90-odd strips and this was the first reference to cart herding. It will become one of Dill’s favorite subjects.

If he has a toy gun, Dill might need it to “put down” the cart with the bad wheel.

Dill is taking after his brothers. Cart herding probably goes back generations in his family.

Ah yes. Alice’s new bunny persona quickly tossed aside like a New Years resolution. Sigh, they grow up so fast.

They’ll eat like Kings and Queens, and build a nest out of the Charmin t.p.!

I’d love to do that job, just so I could smash the carts into people’s paint jobs with all my might. Then when they come running out waving their arms and hollering, I’d just calmly point and say “See that sign? ‘Not Responsible For Damage Done By Shopping Carts.’”

Dill’s fantasy is infectious, no doubt about it! Sonia changed her “want” so quickly!

And I like panel 2 especially, where Dill speaks directly to us, shattering the Fourth Wall with his line of carts….
