    Too late for bribery once you have the ticket, too many people in the system at that point. It might work if a less than honest officer pulls you over, before the ticket is written, but once it’s written you can toss that as an option.

    In 60 years of driving I got just 3 speeding tickets, and they were all in one year…. when I was in my 30s…..

    Most tickets are kicked out when the issuing officer does not come to court. They are not paid to do so, so they frequently don’t bother to show up.

    In Mexico, when you’re stopped for speeding, the first thing most people do is to try and offer a bribe. In fact, often the cop will ask for one in lieu of writing you a ticket.
