If there is too much helium you are DEAD. The gas itself is not toxic, but you need 25% oxygen in your lungs to keep alive. Substitute oxygen with ANY other gas, and you are done.
I remember that hill just outside Stuttgart, Germany next to our elementary school. Every snowy Saturday in the 1950’s we would wax-paper our sleds and shoot down at such a speed that we could barely keep our eyes open against the wind. Down the hill and across the playground we would go until spinning out on the frozen creek on the edge of the Black Forest. Then we would hike about a Klick into the forest until coming into the crafts and clockmakers village where some of the grossmutters were waiting with hot cocoa and nut cakes. I still have the cuckoo clock my parents bought there. If reincarnation is real, I want to be able to that again.

You don’t need a blood test for helium. If he has too much helium in his system, he’ll have a high squeaky voice.
