The Good Old Days were in your grandparents’ time. Of course, they didn’t know it then since their grandparents were talking about The Good Old Days in their grandparents time.
There’s a poem, I think from the 1920’s about the nostalgia for The Good Old Days. I remember nothing of it except the chorus, “Oh, going downhill is the natural way/For the Old Folks work and the Young Folks play/And the pioneer morals universally decay….”

The ‘good old days’ has more to do with one’s perspective, particularly the naivete and simple ignorance of the outside world we have as children.

I’m pretty sure I had some good old days, but they were in the 70s when I was a teenager so I can barely remember them now

As Billy Joel once noted, “the good ol’ days weren’t always good, and tomorrow ain’t as bad as it seems.”
The light at the end of the tunnel probably doesn’t lead to a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but its probably not an oncoming train either.
Relax.

I consider any time precovid to be the good old days, also any time postcovid, if there ever is such a time.

The good old days for some are the worst days for others, and vice versa.
