Drill the holes close together along and near the edge of the lid about three quarters of the way around and then pull back the lid. Use a magnet to remove the little pieces of metal. Easy peasy!
Sad but you gotta laugh: We knew my mother-in-laws dementia was getting worse when she went into the garage and brought back a pipe-wrench to open a can of vegetables. RIP Mom.
If he’s going for this kind of solution, a carbide blade on a jigsaw will work wonders for him. The Spaghetti-Os will be a bit extra-crunchy, of course, but this is Moondog we’re talking here.
A classic single guy’s main meal, straight outta the can (don’t ask me how I know)! Moonie could probably get by just drilling a lot more holes, closely spaced….

Don’t look at me like that! The 15oz can of mini ravioli with mini meatballs is just too much “beef” to pass up for $1.67 (US).

All he had to do is put a metal cutting saw blade attachment on the drill. Works like a charm!

That must have been a big rat if you need 5/8" bit.
MailbuEd about 2 years ago
5/8" Bit? Those are very small meatballs.

Go with the 2" hole saw. Fewer shavings than a drill bit.

Oooh. Sparkly bits in the spagetti-Os!
The demonstrates the importance of having a Swiss Army Knife. If you don’t have one, get one, better get a couple. They’re useful and very manly too.

Sometimes things are close yet so far away.

While I have a wide variety of tools that would work, I’d just open it with the can opener on my pocket knife.

Are those meatballs 5/8” in diameter?
chriscc63 about 2 years ago
yea, 5/8" will do it, but what ya really need is 3/4" to be able to scrape the inside with your finger
