Lufthansa is gradually being embarrassed to improve their luggage handling after many published reports of passengers having to find their own “lost luggage” via “smart tags”.
I “like” the news story about the woman who had a tracking chip in her bag, which she used to track the bag to an apartment complex, while Southwest was telling her that they had it. And in the trash outside that apartment complex she found various other bags… emptied.
After her story went viral on the internet, the bag was supposedly returned to her… outside the same apartment complex. Yet there was no suggestion in the story that the person hired by Southwest to return it to her — who apparently lived in that apartment complex — might be investigated in connection with other “missing” bags.
