My toy of imagination was a jet plane. Speaking of planes at age six I set off to ride eleven miles to watch P.G.Taylor take off in a Catalina flying boat to fly across the Pacific Ocean. I allowed two hours but never made it in time, too hilly.
Ah yes, the good ole Quaker Oats round cardboard container. It could become so many things. It and a little string and it was an air pack. Tape two or three together and it was the body of a rocket or stick on a piece of wood for a handle and it was a bazooka.
