Hi, I’m Mr. Hobo.
Ask Mr. Cook (chief candy maker at a place I worked for a while). And don’t forget all the Smiths, Coopers, and Bakers out there.
Reminds me of the book Jennifer Government.
I wonder if the adult children and grandchildren of Johnny Hacker, a high school classmate who worked in business IT, are now being teased.
For the record, there is no “n” in “restaurateur.”
In another generation everyone’s last name will be Slacker.
You didn’t get named for your parents’ jobs, exactly…you got named for your own job, which generally happened to be your parents’, and would become your children’s. In pre-capitalist times, people had very little choice in occupations.
I guess that makes me a mother trucker.
