    Typical Poncho: Going through a whole lot of work just to avoid having to do something else. He would have done a lot less work if he had just gone out and gotten the newspaper himself. And it didn’t even work.

    The only time in recorded history when cats were useful was in ancient Egypt, where they, apparently, caught rats and mice. But I don’t think they want to be reminded. It’s a point of pride that we take care of them and get nothing back. They think we are worshiping them.

    The cats have to freeze solid before they’ll stay in that arrangement. But you’d have to go outside to arrange them and wait for them to freeze solid, which would defeat the purpose.
