Andy must be immune to chopping onions. Then again, preparing meals by him.

Even when Andy tries to be kind he comes out on the bottom…

Maybe she just paid $17 for a ridiculous climate change saving light bulb only to find out it wouldn’t fit in the harp of the lamp.

But why would she be chopping the onions over the sink?

I keep a damp paper towel covering the chopped onions as I go. That way, the lachrymators from the onions react with the water in the paper towel, not your eyes.

From this angle you can’t see the frying pan shaped dent in Andy’s head.

Nice pot. I love that pot. Does anybody else see that pot? … just kidding.

It must be because I wear glasses, but I’ve never cried while chopping onions.

Andy gets his liquid calories at the pub.

Flo must think Andy’s a pagan god because she gives him a burnt (AND HOW!!) offering every night!

Now he has to do penance by eating her food.

Cutting onions have never made my eyes water. I volunteer to peel and cut onions for the Arenzville Burgoo, last year I cut 150 pounds.

Communication… the key to a successful marriage!

I read somewhere on here that running the knife under cold water helps prevent stinging eyes.

Seems weird that Andy is trying to console Flo. Especially when he’s the cause of most of her problems.

He didn’t get a pot up the side of the head for that remark? Flo’s getting soft in her older age.

Occasionally a comic strip is educational or carries a bit of wisdom. This one reminds us never to make assumptions about what the problem is when you see your wife is upset. A simple “What’s wrong, honey?” will suffice, then letting her take it from there, can save you a lot of trouble.
