From yesterday’s comments to daleandkristen who asked, “Do you hand feed them Temptations/kitty treats?”

No, I have not tried that. When I give my cats treats, I shake them a bit to get everyone’s attention, then I just toss some around the living room. So far I have not seen Annie eat any of them, but Panther does. I will have to try hand feeding treats to her and see if she will take them.

A few months ago, I saw a squirrel with a very scraggly tail eating the cat food, I was afraid he couldn’t get food any place else & I never saw him with any of the other squirrels, so I sort of adopted him. I don’t see any of the others eating the food. The other day I had my annual Pest Control treatment. When he got here, the guy told me her saw a squirrel eating the cat food, I asked if he had a raggety tail – he did, I explained I sort of adopted him & he’s allowed to eat the food. Not that trying to keep all the others away does any good- the raccoons are the worst.

Does our boy not see what group he is talking to?

I’m going back to work this morning. Light duty first.

Oops, looks like Chesney is in the wrong room. If he thinks squirrels are bad news, wait ’til he encounters a skunk! On another note, saw five golden crowned kinglets and three chickadees while out walking today.
