You’d think here in Portland, a city famous for rain, that we’d all know how to drive in the wet. But no, at the end of our 2 month summer when the rains come again, it’s fender benders and skid outs all up and down the Willamette Valley. Some people . . .
Of course, having wider tyres these days isn’t a good idea, instead of knifing through water they are more likely to float over the surface in adverse conditions. It’s a case of fashion over form…..
Atlanta, GA was terrible for this; maybe still is. A few drops fall from the sky and everyone slams on their brakes. Admittedly, probably few actually do this from impulse, but those cause everyone else to react or overreact.
Same in snow country. They jam on the brakes and hold until they hit something. Brakes, release, steer, brakes, release, steer. it’s called pumping the brakes.

Over here, in all adverse conditions, everyone simply slows down and uses greater caution… Something to do with common sense, or lack of it…

Might could use some of that tax money for infrastructure. Better developed streets, storm drains…

It should be pointed out that no cartoon horses have been harmed in this cartoon presentation. All are professional stunt horses.
