Thought this was a reference to the Ox bird cleaning the croc’s teeth. Maybe a pun on expectorating.
Way more research than planned. The bird that actually cleans the croc’s teeth is the Plover.
No idea on how to make that funny. It is a cartoon, big uptoot to Mark for creativity.
I’ve heard of going blind and hairy palms, but puffy gums is new.
I looked it up and oxpeckers are the birds that eat insects on large mammals but that doesn’t compute for crocodiles.
Or maybe Mr. Anderson is just messing with our heads. Right now he’s have a cold one at the bar and snickering: Guess how many people are tying to figure out my cartoon from today?
after the appointment, he can pick up some oxy-peck at the drugstore…
