Sherman asking the right questions to the wrong people……sigh…..someday maybe it’ll be so…..underwater is pretty much a completely different world.

Well in fairy tale land that would be nice. But to many bellies and pocketbooks depend on the world’s fisheries. In fact a lot of the sanctuaries were put in place to ensure the health of those fiseries.

Yeah, that’s a good question, Sherman. People should learn to appreciate the beauty of the ocean and not dump all their garbage and oil into it.

I’m not quite ready to give up sushi.

Because humans love to eat fish.

It is all a marine sanctuary to many who make their living there. For example, fishermen on the west coast called for a shutdown of Salmon fishing to protect the dwindling stocks.

Just fininshed reading “The Mountain in the Sea.” Highly recommend it!

How does designating a marine sanctuary help to keep pollution out? Doesn’t the ocean currents carry it wherever they go? All of NYC’s and the Hudson river valley’s pollution goes right down the river into that ’sanctuary".

If you knew Sushi like I know Sushi, Oh, Oh, what a meal.

It’s too big & every country that borders an ocean or sea would probably have to agree to it.
