    Mine tried to kill me, so I beg to differ. Living in the country with an hour drive to town, and mine ruptured on the way in. Doc told Mom I’d have had maybe another hour and that’d have been it.

    Well, not to EVERYBODY that gets one. Besides, if gets inflamed, you can always give it back. That’s easily arranged by a surgeon. Gave mine back!

    The Basic Materials list revision says to keep installing them until we run out of stock and then they will issue an Engineering change order.

    We get appendicitis because we’re not supposed to have an appendix inside us.

    The idea that the appendix is a useless organ is (possibly) out of date. “Recent research suggests that the appendix may serve an important purpose. In particular, it may serve as a reservoir for beneficial gut bacteria.”
