Sometimes in these cases it is smart to be prepared in advance. Nancy could go to the poetry bookshelf and get the poem “The Most of It” by Robert Frost, and she could read it out loud in about two minutes since it is only 18 lines long. And voila, she read “The Most” (for short) then and there.
