my Gracie was a prolific fly killer. she’d snatch them out of the air, CHOMP! then one day she ate a moth. now she wont attack the flies. she just watches them.

Aww Mitty, are the flies now in cahoots with the evil squirrels?

The fly must be stopped at once.

My two like to chase flies. We call them sky raisins.

Mitts is right, flies are evil. Not as nefarious as mosquitoes, but still, bad to the bone. Oh, wait, no that’s not right. Bad to the exoskeleton? That’s not good, either. Okay, “rotten to the core” should work.

I read somewhere once how to catch a fly with your hand. I tried it once, and it worked, but then I had a disgusting fly in my hand and immediately let it go.

Something which may not be clear to those without a classical education: “Lord of the Flies” was another of the innumerable names for The Devil. DON’T call Mom The Devil.
