When a friend of my wife’s referred to me as a banned word (read on and you can guess) she quickly explained that she couldn’t decide between pussycat and puppy dog. My wife immediately adopted this as my nickname; but to avoid misinterpretations it is usually shortened to The PD.
I wanted to say “the umbrella obliterated my view” of something the other night at a restaurant with my husband, and I said,“my view was umbliterated”! We’re making up Sniglets.
