Spring is almost here? Really? It must be under the 8" of snow that fell today.

Not sure either crop would grow in the Philadelphia climate.

We started our cherry tomato plants a couple weeks ago, almost time to transplant and put in the greenhouse.

The neighborhood gardeners planned and ordered their seeds right after the new year began. They coordinate to share whatever bounty there might be. Which somewhat depends on how well a huge roaming neighborhood cat does his job of chasing off the raiding rabbits and birds.

My little tomato plants are coming up in the house right now. But the comic is in PA, right? She has the right concept, but plant a vegetable garden with strawberry plants and pear and walnut trees instead.

Asparagus, rhubarb, blueberries, peaches, apples, hazelnuts. Agropastoralism is a thing. No more monocultures!

Plant potatoes in tires. As they grow up, add another tire, and more dirt, repeatedly. Vertically efficient for small spaces. Surely there were some old tires laying around that lot?

The first day I was on the Big Island, I ate some escargot. Nothing says Hawaii like escargot! ;-p

I once grew a pineapple top to quite an impressive size, but here in Michigan I had to take it indoors for the winter and when I left it out too late in the season the cold killed it.
