Why is it that most, if not all comic strip cars appear to float or hover while driving? (not sure why this strip stuck out more than others to me, but still…!)
So, that’s it? It wasn’t a dream, it wasn’t kids playing make-belief; Kevin actually build that helmet and became a telepathic supervillain, only to simply revert back to normal after his mom confronted him?
Kids are coddled and enabled by good intentioned parents who don’t want to accept the fact that the problem is on their end. Ask an educator in a upper middle class school.
“You just waste too much energy looking for shortcuts.” Wow. A real, honest observation to bring the story back down to earth. Great writing and great art.
Mom’s unaffected look in panel three really says it all. She has been around the block a few times with this one. She takes a “I’ll believe it when I see it” position, and she has seen a lot.

Enslaving mankind as a way of getting out of taking tests, or bribing teachers.
Man, ethics is hard.

Seems like Kevin has a bright career in politics. You all know The Golden Rule: he who owns the gold owns the rules.

Janine actually pays off the teachers? I’d hate to see how long that’s been going on.
