The haiku is the sudoku of poetry. Some may well be great, concise bits of human thought. Most are no more meaningful than a limerick. Others lose a great deal in translation.

Haiku are easy / think what you want to say and / count on your fingers.
Haikus can be fun
and counting the syllables
keeps things interesting.
