Cat owners everywhere are nodding and agreeing with this strip.

Years ago a friend of mine was reading a book on his lunch break. It was during the summer so doors were open so of course here comes strolling in a kitten, hops up on my friends lap and curls up, on my friends book! The sass was strong with that one. One day I was over at their house and they had a Garfield comic cut out of the newspaper and taped to the fridge, it was the one where Jon was reading a book and Garfield walks in, plops down on the book and falls asleep. Jon wails, “Why here Garfield?” It reminded them of how the were adopted by their new kitten. Tru story!

What part of “cat” is still so hard for you to get after all those years, Jon?

My favorite picture of my late kitty is one where she is sitting on my lap right between me and my book, staring at me intently, like she’s saying “you’re meant to be paying attention to me, not that.”

Sorry Jon, but when you’re a CAT OWNER, it’s ALWAYS, about them, not you.

On the cover of one calendar,(I think it was last year’s) Garfield said “It’s All About – ME ow”
