A few years ago the electric company came thru my building & hooked up everyone’s electronics to all kinds of “power saving devices.” One was a motion detector that sat on top of the TV & shut it off after 2 hours if the thing didn’t “see” anyone moving. We disconnected that gadget about 2 days because when it kicked in, it screwed up not only the TV but the cable box. Rebooting the cable box got really old really fast…
Besides, when I leave the TV (usually Music Choice “Classical” or “Soundscapes”) on all night, it’s ON PURPOSE – I need something to mask the constant loud high-pitched ringing in my ears, or I can’t sleep. The last thing I need is my TV thinking it knows better!
I stayed at a hotel in January where the lights were on sensors. If I was sitting and reading or eating or surfing the web, the lights would go out after a few minutes. I would have to jump up and wave my arms around to get the lights back on. It was way beyond annoying.

I have a smart watch that says “I don’t know what you are trying to do” when I tap it too much.

Don’t look at me, Aunty. I don’t do Netflix.

I find it annoying when it does that.

Prime Video does it and I hate it. If I don’t answer in a timely manner it goes to a screen saver. wth

I’m still watching but it sure isn’t Netflix, I dropped them about 2-3 price hikes ago.

My cable asks if I am still watching if I leave it on the same channel too long.

I still subscribe but beginning to wonder why. I find the latest Netflix movies boring. When they make us watch commercials, I will quit them.

They also do the Amazon thing, if you watched this, then you’ll like that.
