Well it does appear that he is doing his Science homework, or at a minimum a research paper.

I remember seeing 2001: A Space Odyssey when it first came out way back in 1968, half a century ago. I was awestruck. But that was nothing compared to what happened the very next year, July 20, 1969, when I watched Neil Armstrong make that one small step.
