This is so true – if I was doing the shopping, details are not needed. When others do the shopping, if it’s not spelled out, disaster reigns.

Tofu? Leave that off my list.

If she’d put Cheerios on the list, maybe the little circles would make more sense.

I can relate. Last St. Patrick’s day I told my wife I’d pick up the groceries, and on the list was “corn beef (10).” So, I picked up 10 packages of corn beef. When I got home she asked “What’s all this”? So I showed her the list and she said “I meant 10 POUNDS of corn beef”!

Where’s the joke? Why the sigh?

Once my mother had “dill” on the list, I bought dill seed. She wanted pickles.

Yeah, just go with him.

You have to be very specific. I do the same if I am not the one getting the groceries.

Simply go to the store with him.

I get the joke but I’m stuck on why her sweetheart would volunteer to go to the store for her. Maybe to add Bacon or Chips to the list?

My wife and I avoid things like this, we go grocery shopping together. She says that she brings me along, to keep her from spending too much, however, that does not always work.

Tofu? Yuck!

I am single but still , i don’t get this, potatoes , pasta, bread etc. i can get that! I can do shopping! Stop Women-splaining me!
