Liz, While Mike could have approached you in a better manner if he wanted to be serious he is a teenage boy and will say dumb things sometimes, but he has a point about Dawn feeling neglected because a boy came into your life. It’s a thing that often happens at the start of a new relationship where existing friends get ignored in favor of the love interest.

Yesterday, I thought it was Dawn who had the boyfriend and was ditching Elizabeth. It sure seemed that way from their phone conversation.

BTW, does anyone know on the average how long “childhood sweetheart” marriages last before they grow stale?

When I was a teenager, part of the girl code was that you hung with your friends unless a boy asked you out. The boy came first since he was a boy! Friends missed you but understood.

It’s a rough thing for a young teen to deal with.

Michael must know what that is like since Lawrence is on the road touring with Black Box.

    Scene cuts to three Lawrences

Lawrences{in unison}: “Everybody, everybody. Everybody, everybody. Everybody, everybody.”

Elizabeth, this is where you begin to learn the art of balancing your life, by not letting anything be the all dominant, overpowering, all serving entity in your life.

“So be sure when you step, Step with care and great tact. And remember that life’s A Great Balancing Act. And will you succeed? Yes! You will, indeed! (98 and ¾ percent guaranteed) Kid, you’ll move mountains.” – Dr. Seuss

I will note that Mike is also speaking nonsense. He barely spends time with Rhetta and it has been even a longer time since we saw Tracey. The last time Tracey was mentioned was when Gordon was on the slopes with Michael trying to pick up girls.
