Of course she is a caring person. It shows that ever say she makes an effort on coming in to change the lives for the better of the young people and not sitting at home on welfare and freedom care!
Over the years, I’ve seen too many girls have their friendships wrecked over a stupid guy… Guys that never stayed around for the long term. Unfortunately, the bad feelings between the girls WILL stay around for the long term.
Many years ago, my guidance counselor made it possible for this kid, raised in poverty, to get into a work-study program and earn a Bachelor of Business Administration degree (not some useless liberal arts degree). As a result, I am now comfortably retired having enjoyed a wonderful career and a wonderful life.
Although this probably isn’t related, but a boy named Bingo reminds me of growing up in Toronto during the 60’s and 70’s of a children’s birthday clown named “Bingo the Birthday Clown” on a local Toronto television show called “Uncle Bobby.” (Probably means nothing to non locals.)
This is not funny. Comic strips are supposed to be funny. Now if Miss Edwards is on a supercharged stair lifter and get blasted off into the sky; that would be funny.
Life is a harsh taskmaster but a great teacher. Elizabeth is at that age where things like this are confusing and just..difficult. The process of self realization isn’t always gold medals, red carpets and/or a dozen roses. As much as she is currently driven by her heart and first “love”, I feel her angst. And Dawn’s.
Elizabeth will take her teacher’s advice to heart and this is a good thing. But will she remember that her brother gave her much the same advice yesterday?
Once again Lynn Johnston draws Miss Edwards in a two-wheeler wheelchair. I am amazed at Miss Edwards sense of balance to be able to get around in a two-wheeler.

I could tell yesterday that this teacher was going to try to help resolve the dispute.

Every student should be so lucky as to have a teacher that truly cares about them like this woman does.

Liz reminds me of Jeremy on ZITS. Every question his mother asks him was answered, “I dunno.”!!

Good old Ms Edwards, the “Ironsides” of Elizabeth’s school, using her brains and experience to solve the most complicated of problems.
