Yes, my parents told me lots of times. But I refused to believe them. Until live taught me otherwise. ;-)

such conclusions always come late – like all the rest of my experiences

When you are a kid you dream of being an adult. When you are an adult, you dream of being a kid again.

Maybe you’re doing it wrong.

We were told that when we were adults we could do whatever we wanted. Balderdash! You still have to obey authority (job, police, laws) and you still have to give yourself a bedtime if you’re going to get enough rest to get up and go to work. You can’t buy anything you want because you don’t have enough money. You have more autonomy about what to eat (you don’t have to eat what Mom fixes or do without like when you were a kid) but as you age you can’t eat like you did when you were a kid. And you have all those responsibilities!. There are some good things, I can decide what to wear, how to wear my hair, etc., mommy doesn’t control that anymore but at least then I didn’t have to worry about paying the bills.

If they did, we would not have believed them.

In many ways I am still a three-year old. I try to find new wonders in the world every day.

There are some things we are expected to do as adults. The challenge is to do them in a fun way.

My parents did warn me, I just didn’t understand what they were telling me.

Well Aunty, If you don’t have Adult understanding and Adult expectations of what being an Adult it, then of course, you going to fail at being an Adult.

You got that one right, Auntie!

Being an adult means maturity and living as such. Apostle Paul – when I became a man I put away childish things.

Well, to state the obvious, we don’t really have a choice in the “growing up” matter….the physical part anyway.

The irony.. As kids, we haven’t been around long enough to be affective adults. As adults, we’ve been around too long to ever be an amazed kid again. Kinda sad!

The difference between being a child and being an adult is not a matter of age. The real difference is an adult does what they have to do, regardless of how dirty, painful, or difficult, while a child will strenuously seek escape. The world has a disappointing number of full grown children.

When we were kids we thought it would be great to be an adult, but it’s really disappointing…

I do what I want to do, with certain physical limitation.

I would like to be 10 again for one summer day on my grandparents farm.

Hence, the way people are feeling! The mental stability of the human race is in question! I wonder if it’s COVID vaccine related!
