Aaaannnnddd…. ANOTHER shooting, this time at a birthday party in Alabama…

The murder of your child is the price you have to pay for maintaining a profitable gun industry. Republicans are saying this out loud when one of them says “We’re not going to fix this.”

Many of our citizens – children (their parents, families, friends) have survived more than one mass shooting as well as families & friends of the many who have died in mass shootings will be voting this year as well as in future elections. Conservatives must know that gun control is on the horizon… I shake my head (with disbelief and disgust) when I hear trump talk about guns. He’s never even held one. He gets his suckers to do his dirty work… for free.

This ‘toon makes me very sad. I can’t imagine the stress and terror children must endure these days. Not everyone has the capacity to home school their children to keep them safe. Of course, going to a birthday party or to the park, mall, grocery store, church, etc. is just as dangerous these days. People, please vote for gun control!

USAians love their guns more than they love their children. I am so glad we emigrated to a civilised country.

Funny, but not all at the same time. It does fit the Repub plan on how to best monetized more shootings, but selling more protection products than actually fixing the obvious gun accessibility problem.

When kids need Kevlar as a normal thing, it’s past time for true gun reform.

There’s another good-guy story that seems not to have been covered by the corporate media apart from Fox.

It’s rather heroic. The good guy, Raúl Mendez, is still alive only by chance, and has deficits from which he will probably never recover, certainly including the physical loss of his left eye.

His spouse, whose name I haven’t been able to find, was also rather heroic, saving their daughters and then perhaps being one of the 2 mothers who struggled with the killer, Jason Hunt, to keep him from shooting everyone else. As the women were fighting back, Raúl regained consciousness and, despite being nearly blinded by the blood still pouring from his head, located the killer and used his own weapon to shoot him 4 times in the body, killing him.

All these “safety” guards offered by gun enthusiasts would take up the schools’ budgets. No teachers… unless armed. No books… banned or can’t afford any… funds going to teach the children to be fearful of anyone and everyone and/or how to shoot guns.Amazing how far back in time conservatives want to take the country.
